Complete changes in computers and all. Been working on music more than any other art.  Working a lot, which is good for finances, but little time to create.  I have really strong urges to sew, hopefully I will be able to do some of that soon and will have things to post.  Also working on learning to play the lute. Yes, the lute.

Gosh it's always something. Two of my computers are acting up. First, somehow Vista got borked up on the Acer. I was using that to scan Val's ACEOs. I have it booting on linux for now, but xsane is intermittent,   and for some reason I can't get cups to print from gimp.  Sigh. So I may have to reinstall Vista. oh joy. Also I am getting artifacts on my Wind netbook, so either the screen is going or the video card is going. Not happy about that. That's my dual boot XP/hackintosh. The one I travel with. Having two computers going down heading into faire season is a Bad Thing. We were having discussions about what Val really needs in a computer

Got some scribal assignments.  For you non-SCA people, it means I have accpted to do original pieces of medieval-style art to be given to be given out to specific individuals as keepsakes to commemorate a award given in our not for profit historical education organization. I generally work with a few other people to put these works together. I don't feel as confident of my calligraphy, so I try to farm that out when I can. I also know someone who is really gifted at making decorative illustrated borders.  And I like doing illustrations.  So we all work together and produce some nice work. I'll post a few of my past award scroll works here.
